Trax MkII watch rolls into the combat zone.

Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: I wanted to come up with a watch design based on driven belts. The first thought that popped into my head when thinking about belts was caterpillar tracks and what caterpillar tracks are usually attached too. So I decided to use tanks as an inspiration for this watch concept.
The time on this design is told by either three of four tracks (belts) the track/s on the left side tell the hours and the ones on the right tell the minutes. The time is the row of numbers in the center of the watch which correspond to the rocker style button which also acts as a marker for the time. These belts could be driven by small motors or a mechanical movement. I have opted for a 24hr format but would also work with a 12hr format.
Clearly this design is very industrial as you would expect when the inspiration is military hardware. So therefore will only appeal to certain types of people who like the industrial look.
People who like mechanical objects, engineered products and military hardware may like this design. It may appeal action men, big kids and adventurers alike.
This design stands out because of its industrial look and time telling method.
The belts give it a mechanical feel which could be powered by existing movements adding to its feasibility.

FOUR : A Futuristic LED Watch Design

Design submitted by Firdaus from Malaysia.
Firdaus says : I was influenced by many Japanese Tokusatsu and most of them featured henshin gadget that are very futuristic and stylish. Inspired by the shape of digit “4″ and Japanese “つ” (tsu), I came up with this watch design.

Four Watch Design is a very futuristic looking Twelve 5-9 based LED watch that is easy and fun to tell the time. Time is separated by group of 12×1 hour, 5×10 minutes and 1×9 minutes alongside the “4″ shape face and part of the strap.
This watch design is dedicated to Tokyoflash’s  fans seeking futuristic timepiece that has quality looking and can fit on wrist with conventional steel strap and clasp setting.
Four Watch is designed taking into consideration of the technology and design aspect of other previous and current Tokyoflash watches such as Shinshoku, Fire, RPM, and Seven. The tag is, Transform with time, with Four Watch Design!

TI:ME watch tells, erm, the time?

Design submitted by Albert from the USA.
Albert says: I wanted to design a watch that would tell a visual joke, or at the very least, be amusing to the reader.  Working from there, I decided to use the word “TIME” to tell the time.
The watch is an always on LCD so the time can easily be read at a glance.  Each segment in the first half of “TI:ME”, including the colon, indicates the hour.  The segments in “ME” show the minutes.  Information about the date is displayed around the edge of the face.
This watch is for anyone who enjoys word jokes or jokes in general.
This design is unique because of its new use of the word “TIME” in place of traditional number.

Triple Yin Yang watch contemplates the time.

Design submitted by Andrew from the UK.
Andrew says: I came up with this latest Idea of transforming a Triple Yin Yang symbol in to a watch face.
Each section of the Triple Yin Yang is used to Display a separate section or amount of time that has elapsed within a 12 hour period. The Red Sector is split into 12 section used to display the number of Hours (1-12) that have past. The Black section is divided into five section used to Display the number of Ten Minutes (10-50) that have elapsed. This is Followed by the White section Divided into nine sections used to display the number of single minutes (1-9) that have past.
Anyone interested eastern symbolism or tai martial artist & fashion fanatics.
The Triple Yin Yang is a binary design with a elegant design twist.
